The Faculty Student Experience Team are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual who can adapt in a fast-paced environment promoting inclusivity and enhancements for student satisfaction
The Student Experience Coordinator will be responsible for leading on student experience and student voice initiatives, responding to student feedback and data accordingly to ensure shared priority goals across all key stakeholders.
Successful candidates will have knowledge of the issues affecting students in Higher Education and a desire to improve the student experience. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience of managing projects and an approach to celebrating student success through leading communications and prize giving events.

This is a full time post
- Lead the Faculty Student Voice strategy, working with key stakeholders within the Faculty to ensure student feedback is structured, recorded, monitored and acted on appropriately, with students at the heart of the closing the loop process.
- Analyse student feedback and implement change where needed, with a drive to support student experience enhancements for UG and PGT students.
- Support and deputise for the Student Experience Manager as appropriate, including supporting with student complaint investigations and student meetings.
- Contribute to fast paced environment of continuous improvement, flexibility and competing priorities across the Schools of Education.
- Manage and coordinate the organisation of events and student engagement activities, including Welcome Week activities, student conferences, awards events, student-focused seminars, working with student representatives, academic colleagues, the Faculty Communications Office, Faculty Education Services, KCLSU and others.
- Work with KCLSU and Student Associations to align a transparent and aligned approach to student experience.
- Coordinate the Faculty student communications and engagement plan and produce regular reports to monitor engagement/performance.
- Support other education and student-focused events led by other teams, including open days/offer holder events for prospective students and pre-arrival events for new students.
- Work effectively with the Programme, Placement & Assessment Teams, and Quality Assurance and other relevant teams as appropriate.
- Actively seek to identify solutions to problems, or logistical challenges, developing a strong network across the Faculty and more broadly across the university to deliver student-focused events and to communicate effectively with the Faculty student body.
- Play an active role in celebrating our diverse community and promoting inclusive practise.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify and problem solve barriers to the student experience, working on shared priorities to enhance the student satisfaction.
- Support relevant student related meetings, boards and committees, preparing papers, taking notes/minutes, as required, and organising all aspects of the logistics associated with these.
- Engender an ethos of collaboration and collegiality, establishing effective communications and relationships, working in partnership with academic and Professional Services colleagues across the Faculty and university, joining professional networks and working groups

Skills, knowledge, and experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, or has relevant work experience within the Higher Education sector.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. With the ability to communicate, and present, effectively in an assured manner with a range of stakeholders, including academic staff.
- Good working knowledge of all communication disciplines, including social media and communications tools such as Microsoft software and content management systems, and their use as part of an integrated communications strategy.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, able to manage own workload and prioritise tasks in a busy work environment, managing multiple work-streams independently.
- Good level of numeracy and analytical skills including experience of evaluating activities, budget management, web analytics, surveys and using data to improve communications.
- Experience of delivering events on differing scale and prominence
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, being self-motivated and approachable, with good time management skills.
- Enthusiastic self-starter with a positive and determined approach to work, knowing when to work independently and flexibly but also when best to work as part of a team.
