Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within School of Medicine.
The ValueCare Project is a digital health research project, funded by the European Union's 2020 Research and Innovation Programme. The aim of the project is to co-design and deliver integrated care to older people living with chronic health conditions to improve their quality of life, as well as their caregivers, and support the sustainability of healthcare systems in Europe. In Ireland, the ValueCare Project tested a supportive app amongst older people living with frailty that features a wellness plan and virtual coach to promote healthy lifestyle, which connects them to their community-based healthcare providers. The pilot study is being undertaken in collaboration with the HSE's Integrated Care Programme for Older People (ICPOP). This is an exciting role for individuals interested in the areas of healthy ageing, digital health and an opportunity build research on existing knowledge, skills and network. This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator. The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.
Post Doc Level 1 Salary Scale: €42,783 - €45,322
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience
