Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Clinician in Small Animal Clinical Studies within UCD School of Veterinary Medicine.

The Section of Small Animal Clinical Studies of the School of Veterinary Medicine in UCD has an exciting opportunity for a full time small animal veterinarian to join the Small Animal Team at the UCD Veterinary Hospital. This individual will support the continued growth of the Internal Medicine and Intensive Care Services. The appointment is subject to qualifications and experience of the candidates.

The UCD Veterinary Hospital has state of the art equipment including CT, MRI, ultrasound, interventional radiology, full endoscopy and arthroscopy, laser, a radioactive iodine unit and fully equipped surgical and intensive care suites. Ancillary support, including rehabilitation and physiotherapy are also available. The Section currently has capacity for 13 specialist clinicians including four surgical, six internal medicine, two emergency and critical care and one oncology specialists. These staff are supported by 10 interns (rotating and discipline specific), 9 residents and a team of ancillary staff. The Internal Medicine Service has three parallel streams; two accept internal medicine subspecialties and dermatology and one accepts emergency cases

Salary: Non scale €75,000 - €95,000.

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
