We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our procurement team on a fixed term basis (18 months). As Associate Procurement Manager you will be responsible for delivering an efficient and cost-effective service to the wider organisation, undertaking procurement projects across a varied range of categories.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager the postholder will take a lead role in managing a portfolio of tenders in line with public procurement regulations, working proactively within a small and friendly team, with coaching and mentor responsibilities of the Procurement Coordinators. The successful candidate will demonstrate collaborative leadership capabilities, strong interpersonal skills and a commercial understanding that will add value to the University’s Impactable Spend.
Candidates are expected to be highly motivated, have a 'can do' attitude and hold a minimum of level 4 CIPS qualification.
