Applications are invited for a temporary of a Personal Assistant to the Dean of Medicine/Head of School within UCD School of Medicine.

This is an organising and co-ordinating role intended to provide direct support to the Head of School facilitating the efficient utilisation of their time through the effective management of their calendar and other co-ordinating activities; this also includes diary management and managing the Head of School's email account.

The Personal Assistant will carry out a wide range of confidential administrative and clerical support duties including travel organisation and support, provision of materials for attendance at meetings and conferences, and background research. They will also act as a first point of contact for internal and external parties engaging with the Head of School and ensure effective and efficient responses, including redirecting or engaging with other colleagues as appropriate.

The role will work as part of the School Administration Support Team and will work closely with School Team, central support units and stakeholders outside of UCD to ensure the smoothest possible operation of all aspects of the Head of School's diary. The role holder will require excellent time management and organisational skills, tact and discretion in handling sensitive information and the ability to work in a collegial manner.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
