Research Associate in the Division of Science (Physics), Dr. Ahmed Almheiri

Description

The Physics program in the Science Division, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Research Associate to work on the mechanisms underlying the impact active galactic nuclei (AGN) have on their host galaxies. The successful applicant will drive a fascinating project on role of accreting supermassive black holes in the formation and evolution of galaxies, and will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting radio observations of AGN. The candidate will work in a vibrant research environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.

Applicants must have a Bachelors in physics or related field, and demonstrated experience analyzing radio interferometric data, include those collect using Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI).

The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children.
