Level C ($130,810-$150,431) or (Level D) $150,639 to $165,698 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Impart knowledge and excellence to the coming generation of educators
The School of Education seeks to appoint an Associate Professor in Education, with a commitment to excellence and passion for imparting knowledge and mentoring the next generation of educators. We are particularly interested in applicants with research areas of educational assessment or higher education/tertiary landscape. Reporting to the Head of School, the successful applicant will be a leading member of the School of Education sitting on committees and taking leadership roles as and when they arise. This role will span over teaching and research and requires the appointee to contribute teaching and supervision across courses, as required. The successful applicant will also make an important contribution to the education of the next generation of academics by involving HDR students in research projects as appropriate and modelling the highest standards of research excellence and professional behaviour.
To be successful you at Level C will need:
- PhD in education or a closely related discipline.
- Experience and/or knowledge in Initial Teacher Education policy development
- Ability to teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Initial Teacher Education
- Substantial record of success in delivering quality teaching and curriculum design at the tertiary level and responsibility as course coordinator.
- Student-focused approach to education.
- Substantial track record of publications, research grants, research student supervision or other achievements in research and innovation demonstrating scholarship and impact in one or more of the research specialisations of educational assessment and/or HE/tertiary landscape research
- Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community.
- Experience in the supervision of Higher Degree by Research students
- Experience and success in grant writing and applications
To be successful you at Level D will need:
- A PhD in education or related area.
- A strong track record in educational research in an area relevant to the School’s research strengths particularly in educational assessment or higher education/tertiary landscape.
- Demonstrated experience in innovative and effective teaching, course coordination, supervision and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.
- An internationally recognised research track record with evidence of recent, sustained quality research outputs in Education, including the successful supervision of Higher Degree by Research students, research income and publication outputs.
- Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and a contributor to a positive and collegial work environment.
