Khalifa University (KU) is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Researcher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will primarily focus on advancing the field of wireless communication through cutting-edge machine learning techniques. This role involves developing and optimizing machine learning algorithms for wireless networks, with a particular emphasis on enhancing spectrum efficiency and resource allocation.
We are seeking an individual with a strong background in machine learning and wireless communications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of signal processing, channel modeling, and network optimization. Additionally, the candidate will explore the integration of machine learning into emerging technologies such as 5G and beyond.
- A Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, with a focus on AI and wireless communication.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating machine learning algorithms for wireless networks, including knowledge of neural networks, reinforcement learning, and optimization techniques.
- Proven experience in conducting independent research, as evidenced by a substantial publication record in reputable journals and conferences.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and familiarity with AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to collaborative research projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex challenges in wireless communication.
- Experience with data analysis and large-scale datasets relevant to AI for wireless research.
- A commitment to ethical research practices, including responsible data handling and transparency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to disseminate research findings through publications and presentations.
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach to staying updated on the latest advancements in AI and wireless technologies, contributing to the university's research objectives, and actively engaging in knowledge dissemination within the academic community.
- Key qualifications include a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with a proven track record of research in machine learning for wireless communications. The candidate should also possess excellent programming skills, preferably in Python and TensorFlow/PyTorch
