Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Grants Funding Manager within UCD Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.

The Insight Centre for Data Analytics (http://www.Insight-centre.org) is a joint initiative between researchers at University College Dublin, NUI Galway, University College Cork, and Dublin City University, as well as other partner institutions, Trinity College Dublin (TCD), University of Limerick (UL), National University of Ireland Maynooth (MU) and Tyndall National Institute. It brings together a critical mass of more than 400 researchers from Ireland's leading ICT centres to develop a new generation of data analytics technologies in a number of key application domain areas, such as Health and Human Performance, Smart Communities, Internet of Things, Enterprise and Services and Sustainability and Operations.

The Insight Centre is funded by Science Foundation Ireland and a wide range of industry and European Union partners. Insight's research focus encompasses a broad range of data analytics technologies from machine learning, decision analytics and social network analysis to linked data, recommender systems and the sensor web. Together, with more than 220 partner companies, Insight researchers are solving critical societal challenges.

The Research Grants Funding Manager will aid with the management of other grants associated with the Insight Centre at UCD from proposal preparation, through to submission. This position is important to the site's ability to acquire new funding from non-exchequer sources. This role will liaise with the Research Office at UCD and is the key operational contact points for relevant funding sources (such as EU, NIH/NSF etc).
The position is based at INSIGHT - University College Dublin.

Salary Range: €50,000- €60,982 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
