Job Description
Provide assistance to the PI and project team in the conduct and implementation of research.
- Assist in screening, recruitment, consent taking, data entry, data analysis, retrieval of data from electronic medical records where necessary of eligible participants to the study and other related work
- Assists in falls and frailty assessment and management
- Maintain population cohort database
- Ensure timely submissions of required documents to relevant agencies and authorities
- Assist in applying to the NHG Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB) or Institutional Review Board (IRB) for ethics review, grants, safety, protocol submissions, reports and amendments
- Record, analyse and present findings of research activity for review purposes
- Help prepare progress reports on research
- Contribute to the drafting and submitting of papers, formal/official presentations.
- Procurement of consumables and subject reimbursement
- Liaise with relevant internal and external agencies during the course of work
Qualifications
The applicant should have:
Bachelor degree holders in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant research/ grant administration experience
Skills
- Knowledgeable about health promotion and provide guided management plan for falls and frailty prevention
- Proficient in data analysis and SPSS
- Independent, with strong emphasis on team work
- Fundamental knowledge of biostatistics including literature search and analysis
- Applicants with knowledge of cognitive assessment or functional assessment will be given a preference
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, is meticulous, organized, proactive and have an investigative nature.
- Able to work with seniors in the community setting
- Proficiency in MS office applications, e.g. MS office, PowerPoint
- Good written and communication skills
- Ability to speak other languages and common dialects will be an added advantage to liaise with non-English speaking patients
- Knowledge of SAP advantageous as procurement support is needed
- Ability to perform phlebotomy will be a bonus
