Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to help our staff and postgraduate students discover and access the library resources they need for their research and studies.

About the Role

You will assist in a range of tasks associated with the acquisition of monographs, textbooks and other material for library collections and the creation, editing and review of associated metadata for records within our library catalogue, our discovery and our reading list systems.

You will also have a customer-facing role, staffing Library Welcome Desks and responding to enquiries in person and online.

About You

You should have a good general standard of education (to ‘A’ level or equivalent standard) and have experience in an appropriate library or service environment preferably within the higher education sector. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven experience in the delivery of high-quality customer service. You will be an organised individual with meticulous attention to detail. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers across the University.
