Post-doctoral Fellow / Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Social Work & Social Administration (Ref.: 523263) to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Statistics or a related discipline. They should have adequate knowledge of quantitative research methods. Experiences in research topics of end-of-life care, bereavement and public health will be an advantage. Those with a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Work, Psychology, Health Sciences or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ experience may be considered for appointment as SRA.
The applicants should be self-motivated, willing to learn, able to work independently and in a team, and with a strong sense of responsibility and work ethics, good communication skills, and high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Cantonese is required).
The appointee will work with the Principal Investigator in managing a few research projects. Major duties include advanced data analysis and manuscript preparation for projects related to bereavement and dementia. He/she is expected to work independently on data collection, management and analysis, project management, proposal preparation and mentoring of junior research staff members as well as other duties as assigned.
