A research technician position is available in the group of Prof Phil Williamson at the School of Biological Sciences, University of Southampton. The Williamson groups research is centred on the development and application of solid-state NMR methods to study the molecular processes that underpin health and disease. Research in the group currently focusses on two key areas: elucidating the events that lead to the onset and development of neurodegenerative conditions including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease, and understanding the chemical properties that determine the uptake of drugs into cells. The successful application will work as part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team supporting research into these areas.
The selected candidate will be a highly motivated individual who will be expected to work alongside and support post-doctoral fellows, research scientists and graduate students within the group.
