Applications are invited for a temporary 2 year post of a Senior Project Manager within UCD IT Services.
UCD IT Services is responsible for the design, development, implementation, management and support of wide range of IT solutions and services to support staff, students and researchers in their work for the University.
The successful appointee will work in our Enterprise Applications Group, leading a project team delivering projects related to the provision of emerging technology for the university community. The team has implemented a number of package and custom solutions to achieve this. Strong competency in the following areas is required:
- Business analysis
- Customer liaison and relationship management
- Project implementation - particularly in relation to the delivery of online business services
Candidates should have an excellent understanding of one or more of the following (web development (including HTML & CSS), User Interface Design, SQL and PL/SQL).
The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with business users to determine their requirements, designing solutions to meet those requirements, and managing a team of developers to deliver the specified solution. He/she will also participate in the development of strategy within the unit via his/her membership of the IT Services team leaders group, and as part of the management team of Management Services.
Reporting to the CIO or their nominee, the postholder will be responsible for a substantial programme of work, comprising multiple major projects and technical development initiatives.
95 Snr Administrative Iv\2013 (2010) Salary scale: €64,215 - € 101,956 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
