- Seeking outstanding academics to provide leadership and help create a world-class, internationally recognised Faculty for research and education excellence
About the opportunity
The School of Biomedical Engineering was established in 2019 to facilitate collaborative research and education excellence in the field of biomedical engineering. Through our academic staff and students, our research aims to serve the public as a thought-leader and provide innovative technologies for industry, hospitals, governments and the wider community.
We are seeking applications for academic positions at all levels within the School of Biomedical Engineering. Positions are full-time, continuing (tenure-track) roles based in Sydney.
Successful applicants will have an excellent research record and be able to teach a range of topics related to biomedical engineering. The school is embarking on an exciting growth journey, adding new positions to complement our core areas of strength and push the frontiers of new research areas. We are particularly interested in applicants who will enhance the range of research in the School and build connections between our research areas and the industries that we serve.
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Successful applicants should expect an internationally competitive salary, a generous start-up package and a first-class research environment.
The School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Sydney is prioritising a search for faculty members who are able to contribute to the area of digital biology and, in particular, predictive modelling and design. However, other areas of research will be carefully considered.
We seek to provide a tolerant, diverse, and engaging workplace. Accordingly, all academics meeting the selection criteria are strongly encouraged to apply.
