Applications are invited for a temporary post until 30th June 2024 of a Research Assistant (Full Time or Part Time (0.5FTE) within UCD School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering.
Planning for Disruptions:
Improving Reliability and Resource Allocation in Public Transport is a funded project by Science Foundation Ireland. This project consists of two phases, a Concept Phase (6 months) and a Seed Phase (12 months). The goal of the project is to develop a solution that will support the development and integration of a real-time predictive model for public transportation in Dublin, Ireland. In addition, a resource allocation framework will be designed to assist service providers in meeting the customer demands.
The role will involve interviewing stakeholders, process mapping, and data collection related to public transport. The research assistant is also expected to conduct literature review and identify practices that are adopted in other cities to benchmark against those within Ireland.
Salary Scale: €29,275-€39,158 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
