Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Biostatistician / Senior Biostatistician (Research Scientist) within School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.

The aim of CSTAR is to strengthen research quality by providing advice, consultancy and education in research methodologies to health researchers in Ireland. The remit of CSTAR includes the areas of study design, protocol development, statistical analysis plans, project management, data collection, statistical analysis and report writing. CSTAR is located in the School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science on the Belfield campus of University College Dublin. School faculty members associated with the Centre are deeply involved in multiple collaborative research projects both within UCD and across the country, and also deliver university accredited modules in research methods and biostatistics for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

CSTAR now has a vacancy for a Biostatistician. The post holder will be part of a core team which will fulfil the remit of the Centre, providing support and training in study design and statistical methods. They will be expected to contribute to the development and growth of the Centre, engage in collaborative and self-led research programmes, and other academic activities in the field of biostatistics and medical statistics. This is not a remote role. The successful candidate must be willing to work onsite in Dublin.

This contract is for approx. 24 months with the possibility of an extension

Salary Range: €38,632 - €50,000 per annum.

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
