Canterbury Christ Church University welcomes applications for the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience). We seek a pro-active academic leader to oversee the delivery of learning and teaching of the highest quality and put student wellbeing at the heart of all we do.
Our mission is to transform lives and enrich the communities we serve. We want to provide our students with a superb education. We also want to work in partnership with them to ensure they graduate with great employment prospects, an understanding of the challenges facing society and our world, and with the skills, commitment and personal qualities needed to help address them. We aim to embed a sense of belonging for students and staff, promoting equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism.
Our new PVC (Education and Student Experience) will be a key leader in this journey, embracing and translating our Vision 2030 to deliver transformational change. Reporting to our Deputy Vice-Chancellor, they will work closely with the Vice-Chancellor and senior team and lead six Directorates: Learning & Teaching Enhancement, Student Wellbeing, Community & Belonging, Student Resolution & Student Protection, Registry, Library & Learning Resources and Quality & Standards.
We seek someone with a positive, solution-focused outlook who knows how to inspire, support and empower colleagues and to facilitate the significant talent and expertise of their team. With a track record of getting things done, they will have experience of leading and implementing change - ideally of major cross faculty/university initiatives that demonstrably improved the quality and impact of learning, teaching and student experience. Experience of successfully leading high performing teams and of designing/improving systems or processes would be valuable.
