Associate Professor in World Literatures
The Department of English at the University of Southampton is looking to appoint a full-time permanent associate professor in World Literatures (Education Research Enterprise - Balanced Pathway).
About the Role
We are seeking research-active candidates with expertise in any period or geographical area of World Literatures, interpreted broadly. Applications are particularly welcome from (but not limited to) candidates with specialist knowledge in the literatures of the Americas, Asia, or the Middle East/West Asia, and the methods of comparative literature, decolonial/ postcolonial studies, and/or cultural analysis. You will have a PhD in English Literary Studies or comparative/ world literature, a strong record of publications in your field, as well as a track record of academic leadership appropriate to the level of associate professor. You will also have experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or taught postgraduate level.
