Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor within UCD School of Geography.
The post of Assistant Professor will focus on Sustainability broadly conceived, with expertise in one or more of the following particularly desirable: remote sensing, Advanced GIS (Big Data, machine learning, programming), physical geography.
Applicants must have a PhD in Geography or an allied field, a strong, demonstrable commitment to research and publication, an ability to teach at university level, a capacity for graduate student supervision, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work with colleagues who have diverse interests.
The School of Geography has a diverse undergraduate geography programme and a suite of graduate geography programmes that align with the research interests of staff. These include: MSc Geospatial Data Analysis, MSc Risk, Resilience and Sustainability, MA Geopolitics and the Global Economy, MSc Critical Geographies, and MA Geography. In addition, there are research Masters and PhD programmes.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €59,370 - €94,015 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
