We are looking to hire a research assistant (RA) to work on an ongoing translational research project funded by Science Foundation Ireland. The Roche lab are interested in understanding the interaction between metabolism and inflammation, how this is modified by diet, and the molecular mechanisms underpinning these processes. The successful applicant will work alongside a senior postdoctoral fellow as part of a multifunctional research team investigating how circulating immune cells become rewired in the setting of metabolic disease, and whether this can be reversed with targeted lifestyle intervention. Using a variety of sophisticated wet lab techniques and based at the UCD Conway Institute of Biomolecular and Biomedical Research, the RA will contribute to the metabolic and immunological phenotyping of multiple human cohorts.

Research Assistant Salary Range: €29,275 - €39,158 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
