About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team at the Department of Rural Health campus in Shepparton, Victoria. As the key driver of teaching sessions focused on women's health in the third year of the MD program at Goulburn Valley Health, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of medical education. What makes this role truly unique is the chance to collaborate closely with the Clinical School, the University, and clinical teachers in Shepparton, fostering a dynamic and supportive team culture. Your success in this position will hinge on your ability to build strong relationships with health service providers, a critical component for the Department of Rural Health's overall success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Clinical women’s health teaching of Rural Clinical School students which includes the preparation and delivery of small group tutorials, demonstrations, clinical sessions and other modes of teaching.
- Organisation of clinic and ward round experience in women’s health for students at Goulburn Valley Health
- Orientation of students to the Women’s Health Department at Goulburn Valley Health.
- Participation in, and marking of, in-term Women’s health assessments of medical students.
Who We Are Looking For
You are the ideal candidate if you have a strong commitment to advancing the University's role in the Rural Clinical School, excel in teamwork and interpersonal communication, while understanding and supporting student needs.
You will also have:
- A medical qualification recognisable in Australia and Fellowship of an Australian College (e.g. FACP) or an equivalent and recognised postgraduate clinical qualification.
- Demonstrated capability of developing good working relationships with all levels of medical practitioners, and other health professionals, in hospitals and the community.
- Experience in clinical teaching, medical education, and curriculum delivery.
- Familiarity with the functioning of the regional hospitals and the University at all levels.
