Position overview
The mission of Facilities and Services Division is to "Enable academic excellence at ANU through integrated and innovative facilities and project delivery." The three key portfolios are Infrastructure & Planning, Operations and Corporate.
The Infrastructure and Planning portfolio has the responsibility for all aspects of the Infrastructure of the ANU in terms of its Engineering, Sustainability, Space Planning, Capital Works delivery and Asset Replacement/Planning. There are delivered in a manner consistent with institutional priorities, and within appropriate legislative and statutory frameworks, ensuring alignment with the Acton Campus Masterplan.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager works within a small team and is responsible for the coordination of major building works. The Project Manager will oversee the conception, implementation and review of projects and work including user briefs, establish design and cost parameters and monitor building/refurbishment activities. The position will liaise with relevant statutory authorities and work closely with clients, maintaining professional and effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to the Facilities and Services Division.
As a solutions and outcome focused member of the Campus capital Works team, the Project Manager is required to operate cognisant of the divisional inputs to projects and those of the project proponent. A significant responsibility of the Project Manager is to identify and coordinate the requirements and interdependencies of the Service Divisions, Colleges and Schools.
The Project Manager will be required to manage competing stakeholder priorities and deadlines with autonomy.
