Research Fellow (Chemistry)
The successful candidate will work with Assoc. Prof. Han Vinh Huynh and Asst. Prof. Stanislav Presolski on the preparation and characterization of organic and organometallic compounds under the project “Photoswitchable Dithienylethene Ligands for Spatiotemporal Catalytic Control”.
The main responsibilities of the position include preparation and characterization of novel metal complexes containing new photoswitchable organic ligands.
In addition, he/she will assist the PIs in overseeing daily operations and maintenance of the lab as well as training for undergraduate lab members.
- Qualifications / Discipline: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Organic, Organometallic and Coordination Chemistry.
- Skills: Synthetic skills in organic, inorganic and organometallic chemistry.
- Experience: Preparation and characterization of new organic ligands and metal complexes using various spectroscopic and spectrometric techniques, such as NMR, MS, UV, X-ray diffraction, etc.
