About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the University of Melbourne Department of Rural Health as the Rural Health Academic Network (RHAN) Coordinator at Yea and District Memorial Hospital (YDMH). In this role, you'll actively build research capacity, provide research training, and support projects that promote research translation into healthcare practice at YDMH. Additionally, you'll collaborate with colleagues from the RHAN network, furthering your research skills and engaging in the co-funded initiatives between health services and the University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) program.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support and facilitate an ongoing culture of research and evidence-based practice at YDMH
• Support staff at YDMH to undertake research projects, audits and research translation activities
• Collaborate with staff at YDMH to present their work at professional conferences and promote their practice in other forums
• Facilitate research and evidence-based training for staff, teams and key personnel across YDMH, drawing on University of Melbourne resources

Who We Are Looking For

You have experience in collaborative projects, thrive in interdisciplinary settings, and have a genuine desire to delve into rural health and research. You're driven by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful healthcare advancements.

You will also have:

• Tertiary education in a discipline related to rural health
• Knowledge of research and a willingness to learn quantitative and qualitative methodologies and research translation into practice
• Thorough understanding of evidence-based practice and ability to promote evidence-based practice in health care
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective research, teaching, collaboration and engagement
