About the role

University College London (UCL) wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Building Information Modelling and Management. The post holder will be based at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, a world-leading faculty ranked #1 in the world for Built Environment studies and #1 in the UK for its research environment. The post holder will carry out teaching, research, and programme administration within the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, in the field of Building Information Modelling and Management, consistent with the vision and mission of The School. This is an open-ended, full-time position.

About You (Key requirements)

The successful applicant will be expected to carry out teaching, research, and programme administration within the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction consistent with the vision and mission of The School in the general area of digital built environment solutions in particular in relation to civil engineering, construction, facilities management, and asset management. to participate in departmental and faculty events, and build collaborations across UCL; and, to engage in continuing professional development. Also, to contribute to departmental, faculty or UCL-wide working groups or committees and to take part in departmental and faculty events and build collaborations across UCL.

The appointee is required to have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field, and Experience of delivering teaching to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills that support engagement with students, staff, and external stakeholders.

They will also have evidence of conducting original research, reflected in the authorship of high-quality publications, or other research outputs, and knowledge of leading-edge research and theory in the subject area. The successful candidate will be able to work harmoniously with staff and students of all cultures and backgrounds and possess excellent stakeholder liaison and/or public engagement skills.
