The Project: This funded PhD position will work on a Medical Research Council project into the early development of Attention Deficit Disorder during infancy and early childhood. The project is based at the UEL BabyDevLab (https://uelbabydev.com/) and the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development (https://cbcd.bbk.ac.uk/), where you will be working in a community of researchers working on other grants funded by the MRC, European Research Council, ESRC, Leverhulme Trust and others that use state-of-the-art advanced quantitative methods to understand the early development of psychopathology. Experience of data analytics (e.g., coding in Python/Matlab, analyses of neuroimaging data, machine learning) is highly desirable.
Supervisors: The PhD will be supervised by Professor Sam Wass (www.profsamwass.com) and Professor Emily Jones (https://cbcd.bbk.ac.uk/people/scientificstaff/emily-jones).
Funding Details: Funding for this position will come from the University of East London. Please note that the funding for this position will only cover tuition fees for UK and EU naturalised citizens.
Start date: The PhD will start in October 2023 or January 2024, depending on the successful student’s availability.
