Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Environmental Policy within UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy.
Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) in Environmental Policy. This is a 5-year position.
The School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy is a dynamic, research-driven school with a clear focus on delivering excellent teaching programmes. The Environmental Policy subject group are internationally recognised for expertise and experience in the direct application of environmental economics research into the policy development process, for example, the lead role played in providing research and policy support to the EU policy system for the design and implementation of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, the world's largest environmental policy instrument. The Group has provided direct policy advice to, inter alia, the Japanese Government, Irish Government, European Commission, European Environment Agency, OECD and World Bank and our graduates work worldwide. The successful appointee will have ample opportunity to develop their research agenda in these areas and to work on an interdisciplinary basis in the School, the UCD Earth Institute and the UCD Geary Institute for Public Policy.
The School is delivering a new undergraduate dual degree programme in Transport, City Planning and Environmental Policy, within the newly developed Chang'an Dublin International College (CDIC), in Xi'an, China. The successful applicant will play a key role in the delivery of this programme and will spend one trimester teaching in CDIC in each academic year. The School will provide the successful candidates with funding to support a PhD student stipend for a four-year period, on commencement of the post.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
