Practice Nurse, School of Medicine

Applications are invited for a Temporary Part-Time post of a Practice Nurse within UCD School of Medicine (Coome Family Practice)

The role of the practice nurse is diverse. As well as delivering nursing care to patients, practice nurses at the Coombe Family Practice co-ordinate health programmes and patient education. The nurses manage the primary childhood vaccination programme including database maintenance and uptake audit. HSE programmes such as Chronic Disease Management and diabetes cycle of care are managed by the practice nurses and it is their responsibility to maintain accurate disease registers. The practice nurses assist with the ante-natal programme and women's health and contraception clinics. Among the services provided by the nurse are phlebotomy, cryotherapy, vaccines, ear syringing, smear taking, dressings, ECG & ABPM.

Snr Staff Nurse (Dual Qual)\2010 (5148\X) Salary: €55,026 pro rata per annum.
