Applications are invited for appointment as Clinical Practitioner in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 523055), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong or equivalent, and a higher qualification in general practice/family medicine. They should demonstrate proven clinical experience, with a strong interest and commitment to medical teaching, and be able to contribute to the development of new clinical service or academic programs for the Department and the Faculty. Proven capacity and interest in medical research would be an advantage. Direct communication with patients is required and the languages employed are English, Cantonese or Putonghua.
The appointee is expected to provide regular clinical services at the University’s teaching hospitals including Gleneagles Hospital and HKU-Shenzhen Hospital. He/She will engage in undergraduate/postgraduate teaching and support research activities in the Department and the Faculty. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
