Research Fellow (IORA)

The Role

The successful candidate will work with Professor Toh Kim Chuan on research topics under a project on the development of theory and algorithms for large scale conic programming.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

To conduct independent research on the design, analysis and implementation of efficient and robust algorithms for large-scale conic programming.  Advanced knowledge on nonsmooth analysis, nonlinear optimization and algorithms; proficiency in Matlab and C programming languages at PhD level are required.

Requirements
Qualifications / Discipline:

Graduating PhD or recent PhD holder specializing in optimization.

Skills:

Advanced knowledge on nonsmooth analysis, nonconvex optimization theory and algorithms including Matlab and C programming languages at PhD level are required.

Experience:

At least 2 years of independent research experience at PhD level in the design, analysis and implementation of efficient algorithms for large-scale conic programming.
