Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Teaching Fellow in Civil Engineering within UCD School of Civil Engineering.
Applications are invited for a part-time Teaching Fellow post in the School of Civil Engineering (0.2 FTE). The successful candidate will commence in mid-October 2023. The duration of the appointment is 3 months.
The appointee will be expected to contribute to teaching (lectures, tutorials, etc.) assessment and grade input. The successful candidate will ideally be a scholar who has a background and research interests in Civil/Environmental Engineering and have experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
The Teaching Fellow is expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School.
The School of Civil Engineering is a dynamic, research-driven school with a clear focus on delivering excellent teaching programmes. The School is home to two research centres: the Centre for Critical Infrastructure Research and the Centre for Water Resources Research. The School's core values are of excellence in both research and education, and a willingness to engage in university and professional life.
The School has particular needs in the teaching and assessment of Environmental Engineering Fundamentals at undergraduate level.

Fixed Salary: €40,000 per annum Pro rata at 0.2 FTE = €8,000 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
