There are big changes happening at the University of East London. 125 years old and committed to driving diversity in the 5.0 talent pipeline, we work in partnership to promote talent wherever it is found and strive to create a balanced, inclusive and green future. Our newly-formed Strategic Development and Delivery directorate is set to play a big part in that future. Bringing colleagues together from across the University into one function to form service areas that include Data, Insights & Decision Support; Strategy & Performance; Portfolio & Benefits; and Change & Improvement, the aim is to combine our specialist expertise and sector knowledge to help deliver our strategy ‘Vision 2028’ and beyond.
A great opportunity to inspire and bring value, both to the role and wider university, as Change Manager you will have the support and the remit to make a real difference across the University in the years ahead. Indeed, you could soon be playing an important role at the heart of a supportive and dynamic team that’s committed to helping us achieve our ambitious goals.
As well as supporting specific change initiatives, among your many challenges will be the need to support the development and embedding of a comprehensive change management framework and toolkit and helping the university grow its change capability at all levels. Through collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders, you’ll help to develop the change management maturity and approach for the university to ensure leaders, managers and staff are equipped to lead, deliver and embed our transformation initiatives and vision. You’ll be part of and help develop a community of change agents that support and embed change to the benefit of the whole UEL community – these are just some facets of this rare opportunity.
To succeed, you will need proven experience in supporting change initiatives of varying sizes and types that have had a strategic influence and impact on a university or organisation. You will also need the specialist knowledge and expertise it takes to drive change management maturity amongst stakeholders including on activities that include training and facilitation of workshops. The enthusiasm to work across a new directorate to create synergies with various service areas, academic units and professional services is important too. What’s more, in keeping with our progressive culture, you will need to be an innovator and solution-driven thinker who can overcome challenges with new ideas. In summary, you are driven to affect change and support those impacted by change to deliver lasting benefits for organisations.
Joining the Strategic Development and Delivery directorate means you’ll have access to a wealth of training, opportunities and exciting networking events. We’re committed to investing in our people. These include attending conferences and webinars; watching videos and receiving newsletters; and accessing tools, guidance and templates.
So, if you have what we are looking for and are keen to take on a new challenge, apply today.
