The Opportunity (Multiple)
Griffith University is seeking applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander academics interested in a career at Griffith University, for roles at Level B, C, D and E.
Griffith is currently welcoming applications from First Peoples for various roles in research and teaching across its diverse Schools and Groups academic departments. Your expertise and unique perspective will play a pivotal role in enriching our academic landscape and driving positive change. Roles are available at the various campuses - Gold Coast, Logan, Mt Gravatt, Nathan and South Bank.
Areas of priority include Education, Anthropology, Art, Law, Film, Medicine and Dentistry, Design and Storytelling, Criminology and Criminal Justice and Psychology, to name a few. We are a comprehensive University and there are multiple opportunities available across a wide-range of diverse disciplines.
About you
Griffith University is seeking applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander academics interested in a career at Griffith University, for teaching and learning roles at Level B, C, D and E. Your expertise and unique perspective will play a pivotal role in enriching our academic landscape and driving positive change.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- A PhD or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in teaching at the tertiary education level and a proven ability to administer University courses.
- Demonstrated experience in course development and course coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish quality research, with evidence of high-quality papers and national and international research impact.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability and commitment to work collegially and contribute to the positive culture and aspirations of the School and University, including collaborating with other staff, participating in committees and School activities, and liaising with industry partners.
Academic Level B Statement
Candidates will be expected to teach across a breadth of courses within the School/Department. In addition to fulfilling teaching requirements, candidates should demonstrate the potential to attract external research funding, evidence of a competitive research track record consistent with discipline benchmarks, and experience in partnering and collaborating with leading institutions in their field.
Academic Level C statement
Candidates will be expected to teach across a breadth of courses within the School/Department. In addition to fulfilling teaching requirements, candidates must demonstrate success in attracting significant external research funding, evidence of a competitive research track record and national recognition consistent with discipline benchmarks, and proven experience in developing partnerships and collaborations with leading institutions and research end-users in their field.
Academic Level D/E statement
Candidates will be expected to teach across a breadth of courses within the School/Department. In addition to fulfilling teaching requirements, candidates must demonstrate leadership and success in attracting significant external research funding, evidence of a strong research track record and international profile consistent with discipline benchmarks, and proven success in developing and maintaining partnerships and collaborations with leading institutions and research end-users in their field.

What we can offer
The full time equivalent base salary is Lecturer, Level B $105,144 - $124,862 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $123,019 - $146,089 per annum.
The full time equivalent base salary is Senior Lecturer, Level C range $128,802 - $148,520 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $150,698 - $173,768 per annum.
The full time equivalent base salary is Assoc Professor, Level D range $155,088 - $170,860 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $181,453 - $199,906 per annum.
The full time equivalent base salary is Professor, Level E $199,775 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range of $233,737 per annum
