The University of Canberra Faculty of Science and Technology is seeking a highly motivated Lecturer OR Senior Lecturer - Biomedical Science to join us. The role fosters excellence in teaching and learning, research, and professional engagement within the School of Science. You will contribute to the Faculty's overall objectives and align your work with the University's strategic plan in providing high quality contributions.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong background in genomic research related to the focus areas of our Biomedical Research cluster. Proficiency in modern bioinformatic techniques would be advantageous for this position. In addition, we expect this position to collaborate in the ongoing development and improvement of units.

The role is teaching-research (TR) position predominantly focused on facilitating and delivering high quality learning and teaching in Medical and Biomedical Science, including course design and structure using evidence based teaching practices. Additionally, the role involves providing exceptional supervision to students across various academic levels, coordinating units in the discipline of expertise, and managing online learning sites. The successful candidate will continuously enhance teaching resources and materials, employ evidence-based teaching practices to improve student engagement and learning outcomes, and deliver teaching activities as needed.

To be eligible for this role, it would be preferred candidates have a relevant PhD degree in a Medical/Biomedical Science discipline and demonstrate significant teaching and research experience. As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, you will actively contribute to the scholarly and collegial community within your discipline, School, Faculty, and beyond. Reporting to the Head of School, you will establish excellent working relationships with colleagues and exhibit flexibility and adaptability to embrace new challenges.
