Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Research Ethics Senior Executive Assistant within UCD Office of Research Ethics

The UCD Research Ethics Office has responsibility for operating an efficient research ethics framework that supports researchers and provides them with access to up to date advice and guidance and a streamlined ethical submission and review system. This includes providing secretariat support for the four University Research Ethics Committees, and advising on research ethics matters. Under the direction of the Research Ethics Officer the successful candidate will be a key member of the Office of Research Ethics, proving both administrative support to the office, and advice and support to the wider university community.

The appointee will engage in a range of duties and responsibilities to support core areas of office operations, including dealing with day to day queries, maintaining online databases and records management systems (including handling confidential information), liaising with research ethics committee members and researchers, maintaining the office website, and any other duties that may be assigned by the Research Ethics Officer.

Note that inhouse training will be provided in the various areas managed by the Office of Research Ethics and the appointee will also be expected to undertake further professional development to support Unit operations and to utilise any learnings obtained from said training.

95 Senior Executive Assistant (2010) salary Scale: €42,423 - €52,106 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
