The Biochemistry faculty conduct innovative research to understand fundamental biological processes and to solve pressing biomedical issues facing our world. Our faculty, students, and staff form a vibrant and collaborative intellectual community in which to work. The department of Biochemistry is in the College of Arts and Sciences, whose faculty conduct research, scholarship, creative work and education in more than 60 fields. The college leads nationally in undergraduate and graduate education, bringing world-class research and scholarship to our students, in and out of the classroom. The College is the academic home to five of the university’s Nobel laureates, four National Medal of Science winners, eight MacArthur "Genius Award" winners, 100 Fulbright Scholars, 17 Guggenheim Fellows, 14 Packard Fellows, 24 members of the National Academy of Sciences, and 23 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

- Develop a creative and innovative research program, to attract external funding, to provide research training for graduate and undergraduate students, and to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.

The anticipated start date for this position will be fall 2024 semester, August 2024.
What We Can Offer
The salary for this full-time 9-month appointment is $92,000-$94,000 annually. Summer salary can be taken from grants or other funds. Funds are available for the research space, office space, moving allowance, and includes competitive startup funds.

What We Require
- Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Research Experience, and a strong publication record.
- Ph.D. field of study: Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Structural Biology, Computational Biology, Chemical Biology or related field.
