The School of Psychology is at the forefront of excellence in research, teaching, and clinical training. We deliver two core undergraduate (B Psychology (Hons) and B Psychological and Social Sciences) programs and two postgraduate professional practice programs: Master of Clinical Psychology and Master of Professional Psychology.
About the Role
The School of Psychology is seeking to recruit an Associate Professor in Psychological Science with global reach and impact. The successful applicant will have extensive strategic leadership and operational management experience, supported by demonstrated experience in academic governance and leadership. The Associate Professor will be responsible for contributing substantively to the leadership of teaching, research and engagement activities as a member of the Psychology professoriate. The position holder will have particular responsibility for influencing the strategic direction of the School and will provide overarching academic leadership to manage and progress operational outcomes successfully; in a collegial and consultative work environment.
The Associate Professor will be expected to make a substantial leadership contribution to:
- The teaching of psychology, curriculum development and quality improvement
- The research direction of the School, including regular publication in high impact national and international journals and the acquisition of competitive external research funding
- The supervision of coursework, honours, masters and higher degree research students
- The administration and development of psychology programs
- Leadership and contribution to a positive and inclusive work culture
This is a full-time, ongoing role located at Western's Bankstown City Campus.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level D $190,689 to $209,441 p.a. (comprising Salary of $161,573 to $177,601 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
