Research Assistant Professor in Department of Social Work & Social Administration (Ref.: 46th Round RAP Scheme)

Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work & Social Administration within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 46th Round RAP Scheme) (Ref: 522625), to commence as soon as possible for two years.

Applicants should have a PhD degree in gerontology, social sciences, health science or a related discipline with at least 5 years' research experience. They should demonstrate a deep understanding of the application of varied methodologies with an established record of publications. Experience in mixed methodology and managing research projects and mentoring junior research staff will be an advantage. An excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese is required. They should be familiar with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) and MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). The applicants should be organized, self-motivated and with excellent communication skills.

The appointee will conduct high-impact research relating to older adults and caregivers, with collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. He/She will oversee multiple projects under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Professor Vivian W. Q. Lou. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
