Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science (Ref.: 522418), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in statistics, mathematics, or computer science, with a strong background and experience in statistical machine learning, high-dimensional statistics and optimization. Applicants with publications in top statistics/machine learning journals or top machine learning conferences are preferred.  The appointee will conduct research with Dr. Long FENG and Dr. Yuan CAO.  Information about Dr. Feng, Dr. Cao and the Department can be obtained at https://lfengstat.github.io/, https://yuancaohku.github.io/ and https://saasweb.hku.hk/ respectively.  

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
