Job Description
Yale-NUS College is seeking motivated candidates for a Research Assistant position in the Division of Social Sciences.
This position is connected to a research project titled "The River of Cooperation and Competition - The Effects of Upstream Dams on Downstream Countries in the Mekong River Basin" and will support the dataset access from NASA and process and combine data with other sources. The selected candidate will learn how to code and apply machine learning techniques and estimate regression model for conducting causal inferences.
Qualifications
- Honours degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related fields.
- Knowledge of coding in Stata, R and Python, as well as experience in processing and working with actual data.
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and multitask effectively
