Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct research that contributes and is complimentary to the School’s diverse research portfolio in the broad areas of Environmental and Analytical Chemistry, and Bioanalytical Chemistry / Analytical Biochemistry.
- Publish research findings in international refereed journals and present results at seminars, conferences, and meetings.
- Actively contribute to teaching, including the development and delivery of course materials in the area of environmental and analytical chemistry, or bioanalytical chemistry.
- Actively participate at School and/or Faculty meetings and play a major role in planning activities or committee work to support capacity building in the School/discipline.
Who We Are Looking For
You are a passionate and knowledgeable individual with a strong ability to teach chemistry effectively across all university levels, particularly in environmental and/or analytical chemistry subjects. Your excellent oral and written communication skills in English allow you to engage and connect with students and colleagues. With demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills, you thrive in project management, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with other academic staff, actively contributing to the external engagement and administration activities of the School.
You will also have:
- PhD in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Ability to attract and supervise postgraduate (research higher degree) students, relative to opportunity.
- Strong track record of high-quality impactful publications in leading international journals in the areas of Environmental and Analytical Chemistry or Bioanalytical Chemistry.
- Demonstrated potential to attract (Level B) / Record of gaining (Level C) research funding from national competitive research bodies and other sources, including industry, relative to opportunity.
