Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Assistant within UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science.

UCD Conway SPHERE brings together clinical, academic and scientific collaborators nationally and internationally, harnessing unique tools to diagnose and understand a host of diseases, including thrombotic disorders. The acronym SPHERE describes the state-of-the-art translational interests of our group; "Systemic inflammatory disorders: role of blood Particles, Haemostatic factors, and ExtRacEllular vesicles".

Led by co-Directors Prof Patricia Maguire and Prof Fionnuala N inle, our group is based across several distinct research, academic and clinical centers in Dublin, Ireland under the umbrella of University College Dublin. Our group is an interdisciplinary research group where people with a diverse range of skills are working on numerous projects with a common theme revolving around mass spectrometry. The successful candidate will be asked to provide day to day assistance across our projects.

Most notably, you will be asked to undertake the assessment of blood biomarkers using established platforms in clinical samples collected from hospitals across Ireland. In addition, they will work with multi-disciplinary teams made up of Clinicians, Research nurses, Scientists and statisticians to increase research outputs.

Salary Range: 29,275 - 39,158 per annum.

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
