The Center for Behavioral Institutional Design (C-BID) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant in the areas of behavioral or experimental economics. Successful candidates will join the research group of Professor Nikos.

Job Description:

The position holder must be interested in applying insights from behavioral and experimental economics to the design of real-world policies and in using controlled experiments to test the policies before they are implemented. The responsibilities of the position holder may include assisting in surveying the relevant literature; analyzing survey and experimental data; organizing and running lab, field or online experiments; and drafting reports summarizing the research findings. The ideal candidate will be able to perform well independently as well as in a team, and under time pressure.

Required Qualifications:

• An undergraduate or MSc degree in Economics or other Social Sciences obtained after 2013, or expected by July 2023.

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral and experimental economics
• Demonstrated ability to use statistical software to analyze data
• An interest in using behavioral insights to design public policies

The anticipated appointment is for one year but can be extended for an additional five years (pending performance and funding). The compensation package is very competitive and includes medical insurance for self and family, flexible working hours, annual home-leave travel allowance, generous housing and relocation benefits, as well as educational subsidies for children.
