Administrator - Recruitment

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Administrator with an interest in staff recruitment.

The Faculty of Social Sciences has recently reconfigured our recruitment processes with recruitment now taking place at faculty level.  This is a key role within the faculty as our academic colleagues invest considerable time in the important task of recruiting staff colleagues.  You will work closely with the Senior Administrator and be responsible for completing the administration linked to staff recruitment. You will be a point of contact with the HR recruitment team and our five Schools.

You will be liaising with multiple stakeholders, working closely with the Head of School, recruitment team, academic colleagues, and the existing administration team.

About You

You will be adaptable, flexible, proactive, and forward thinking. You will have strong interpersonal skills and a positive and enthusiastic approach. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines are also essential requirements.  You will have strong IT skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft (Word, Excel).

What we can offer you

As a university we aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive and are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity. We believe that we can only truly meet our objectives if we are reflective of society, so we are passionate about creating a working environment in which you are free to bring your whole self to work. We welcome applications from candidates who are committed to helping us create an inclusive work environment. We encourage applications from candidates from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, people who identify as LGBTQ+; and people with disabilities.

As well as additional benefits that will make your life easier, such as a generous holiday allowance and additional university closure days. We will support your long-term future too, with pension scheme membership, subsidised health and fitness facilities and a range of discounts. Our excellent family leave arrangements include maternity, paternity, adoption and parental.

Interviews will be held mid July.
