The University of Canberra is undergoing an exciting time of transformation, growth and change. It is embarking on a transformational program to enhance student learning and increase student enrolments through the development of new capabilities and capacities that will generate new online courses and a more flexible approach to delivering existing courses, both at our Bruce campus, our campus in the cloud and with our partners. The University is also undertaking a realignment in its support for learning and teaching, its curriculum development and its policy suite. This role gives you the opportunity to bring your skills and experience to influence and impact these important changes at the University.

We are currently seeking multiple Learning Designers to design and develop effective online, blended and face to face learning experiences for the University in support of this major strategic program the Education Transformation and Growth Program, aligned to our new decadal strategy, Connected.

This team will provide support to our academic and education support staff in developing and implementing dynamic learning environments, quality curriculum development, assessment and feedback processes, teaching and course quality. It supports and provides academic staff development for teaching quality and skills development through enabling UC’s educational technologies and platforms. This role will work closely with faculty teams to systematically support online course design and development while implementing a continuous improvement approach with a focus on implementation, efficiency, and quality.

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in the design and build of online learning experiences in higher education and be able to think systematically, with a passion for working at scale and the ability drive a high standard of course development. They will have a demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams to deliver results and proven experience working collaboratively with academic staff in course and unit design.
