Research Engineer (Materials)

Job Description

  1. Structural analysis of materials using electron microscopy
  2. Sample preparation using focus ion beam
  3. Introduction to data analysis 
  4. Exposure to the state of the art electron microscopy and materials research, both academic and in industry
  5. Conduct literature survey on proposed chemistries/processes/approaches
  6. Assist to carry out experiment, acquire and record data
  7. Perform data analysis and generate technical reports
  8. Present and discuss with other group members
  9. Resource planning and technical procurement. 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science/Chemistry/Electrical Engineering/Physics or equivalent
  2. Good knowledge of fundamental materials science
  3. Demonstrated interest in research
  4. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  5. Good multitasking skills and ability to set priorities in a fast, dynamic environment
  6. Good command of oral and written English
  7. Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and data analysis software.
