Silicon Photonics and Plasmonics

The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications from individuals for Research or Post-Doctoral Associate. The successful candidates will be required to join the research group of Prof. Mahmoud Rasras in the area of Silicon Photonics and Plasmonics.  

Required Qualification:

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
• Modeling and Simulation using Lumerical tools (mode, device, FDTD, interconnect)
• Tape out experience using various MPW offerings ( IME, GF…)
• Design and operation of optical systems and experimental setup
• Knowledge in Plasmonics is a plus 
• Familiarity with standard characterization methods, including TEM, SEM, Optical Spectroscopy…

The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists and engineers. The anticipated appointment is expected to last for a minimum of two years, with a possibility of extension based on performance.

The salary is dependent upon qualifications. This position is not located in the United States. You must be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
