We are recruiting a Residential Services Supervisor to join Residences looking after the accommodation needs of our students, including the running of  certain halls. You will join the team at an exciting time as we continue develop our portfolio of over 6,700 rooms, including refurbishment plans and continued development of our halls offer to enhance student experience.   

The Role

We are recruiting the Residential Services Supervisor on a full-time, permanent basis, within the Operations team in our Residential Services department.  This role is based at Wessex Lane halls and covers both Wessex Lane and City Gateway Halls of Residences. This role will entail managing the day to day running of the site, line managing staff, ensuring compliance and service standards are consistently met at the site.

The position offers a 35 hour/week contract and is complimented by a range of other employment benefits. The working hours will be on a rotational basis of 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm, 10am to 6pm and in rare circumstances there may be a need to work 12pm-8pm. There will be expected weekend working at our peak times of year (June to October) assisting with University open days and arrivals/departures of students. The candidate is expected to contribute to an out of hours on call rota.

About You

The successful candidate will quickly pick up new software packages, and be competent in the use of systems and spreadsheets. Excellent communication skills will be essential, as well as the ability to liaise with a variety of teams within the University in a professional manner. 

Self-motivation and the ability to manage small numbers of people and one’s own workload are desirable qualities.
