About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of brain cancer patients and their families. As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of an innovative technology-enhanced survivorship platform, supported by MRFF funding. This position offers a unique chance to work with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, eHealth experts, digital product designers, and consumers, fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment. Join us in modernizing survivorship care through digital solutions and contribute to improving the supportive care and quality of life for brain cancer patients and their loved ones.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support investigators in recruiting participants during the implementation and evaluation phase of the project.
  • Effective, well-organised and efficient administration and research support to the Brain Tumours Online Project Manager and Chief Investigators on the Research Team.
  • Data collection and management of study specific data collection (as per study protocols and SOPs).

Who We Are Looking For

You are a proactive and adaptable individual with excellent workload management skills, capable of troubleshooting, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. You thrive both independently and as a collaborative team player, demonstrating strong attention to detail and a resourceful nature. Your effective communication and negotiation skills allow you to build and maintain relationships, while your flexibility, patience, and tolerance enable you to navigate diverse situations with ease.

You will also have:

  • Degree level education or relevant further education in health or science.
  • Experience within a clinical research setting or relevant experience demonstrating the necessary skills.
  • Experience with consumer/community engagement in research or communicating with research participants, particularly patients or caregivers.
  • Demonstrated data collection and management skills.
  • Proficiency in video-conferencing platforms, MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
